Vintage leather Hippopotamus. Leather hippo model.
Here we have a splendid and very decorative model of a Hippo in leather.
The overall condition is good, there is some scuffing to the leather here and there but nothing too bad. We believe this splendid Hippo to date to the second half of the twentieth century. I know that Liberty of London used to retail leather animals but I can not say whether this is a Liberty one or not. It is certainly a quality item and is very well made. The teeth are in plastic and are all present
A really striking and well modelled piece that would be ideal for any Hippo lover and would make a splendid addition to any home decor.
