French antique bronze chalice. Here we have a fabulous original French antique in the form of a chalice with a pediment base. This beautiful antique we believe to date back to the late 19th century. The chalice is in solid bronze and is heavy for its size, a real quality piece. We believe the chalice probably originates from the Barbedienne foundry. It has wonderful raised ivy decoration around the sides. We have not attempted to polish the bronze preferring to leave the chalice in its original found condition. A fabulous French antique bronze chalice that would make a superb addition to any home. A rare and beautiful object indeed.

Condition: The overall condition is good for its age, one of the handles at the top is slightly bent down which you can clearly see in the photos.

All our items are vintage or antique and so have been loved and used in the past. You can expect to see minor signs of use on all items but we will endeavour to point out any condition issues which we feel go beyond normal wear and tear.
