French blue antique apothecary bottle with toleware lid.

French antique blue apothecary bottle. This lovely old blue glass apothecary or chemists bottle dates back to the late nineteenth century. It has a lovely rich blue colour to the glass. There is no cork stopper to the top but the orignal tole ware tin lid is still in place. The enamel sign to the front of the bottle is " Tinct Eryth Coca" The sign is very nicely done in white enamel and has a gilt border. The gilt border is quite naively done but I think this just adds to the authenticity and charm of the piece.

Condition: The overall condition is good. The bottle is in good order. The toleware lid has some tarnishing as you can see in the photos.
