French vintage chalk ware Jesus statue. Here we have a lovely example of a French mid century chalk ware figure of Jesus of the sacred heart. It is a really well crafted hand painted piece that we think dates back to the 1940s. The statue depicts Jesus draped in a red robe pointing to the sacred heart. A lovely early French religious statue that has fabulous decorative appeal and would make a super addition to any home.

Condition: The overall condition is good, for its age with just a few areas of flaking paint and a few rubs here and there. As you can see in the photos there is fading to the red robe which has faded to a more pinkish colour over time.
