Antique books. Two French antique books.
Here we have a lovely pair of leather bound Antique French books.
These books are in the French language, and date to 1816.
The books are "ESPRIT code de procedure civile" tome one and tome two.
They have lovely full leather binding with gilt titles and patterning on the spines.
There is some nice marbling on the insides of the covers.
The overall condition for their age is good, there are some areas of damage to the leather which you can see in one of the photos, where labels have been removed in the past, and there is a little bit of damage to the base of the spine on tome one.
They are however a really striking looking pair of antique books that would look fabulous on any bookshelf.
A fascinating pair of characterful leather bound antiquarian books.
