This item is hand made and in the traditional style. It dates back to the nineteenth century. Please check the shipping costs for this item as it is a very heavy item to ship.
An absolutely splendid example of a French copper fish kettle.
It has a black painted iron metal handle across the top. The inside has a lot of wear so this piece is best kept as a decorative item rather than being used for cooking, unless it is re tinned first. Old fish kettles make excellent planters, especially for herbs or orchids, in a farmhouse or country  kitchen.
You can see this piece has some small dings and dents here and there, but nothing that detracts from the overall quality of the piece.
These days it could of course be used for plant pots or just as a fabulous decorative feature in your kitchen.
