French antique copper mold. Old copper pudding mold.
Here we have a lovely large old French copper mold full of character and charm.
It has a little ring attached for hanging purposes and is in a very traditional pudding mold style.
The overall condition is good with just a few minor scratches and dings here and there, as you would expect for a copper mold of this age. It probably dates to the early twentieth century. This lovely old piece has only had one preliminary clean from us which has removed most surface tarnish. There is still some dark tarnish in the grooves of the mold, please see the photos. According to preference the mold can be left as is, it will darken to a rich deep copper colour over time, or can be cleaned again to retain a bright coppery glow.
The inside tin lining is in quite good condition. This beautiful old mold has a real decorative appeal and would look splendid in the kitchen and make a wonderful addition to any copper collection.
