Large French Antique Photo Frame: Beveled Glass, Chateau Ribbon Decor

A charming original French antique photo frame, very stylish and very French and of an unusually large size. This is quite a rare old photo frame, we have never had one as large as this on the site.
This lovely old frame has a bevelled glass which sits inside the grooves top and bottom of the gilt metal frame.
These frames are spring loaded, so you just pull the top and bottom slightly apart and then you can slide the glass out and then load your photo on a piece of card.
This is a lovely original old frame with some lovely eighteenth century style ribbon decoration on the top to add that chateau feel. The overall condition is good, it does have some nibbling to the glass in a couple of places, top left as you look at it there is an area about one inch long with some nibbling and there is some nibbling on the opposite corner. This is quite a common occurance with these old frames and I think adds to their authenticity and charm.
I would think this frame probably dates to the early part of the twentieth century.
