Antique bronze candle holder with dragon decoration.
Here we have a fascinating little antique in the form of an Asian double ended temple candle holder.
We believe the piece may be Chinese or certainly Asian and we think it probably was used as a temple candle holder.
It is an aged piece and dates back to the nineteenth century.
The overall condition is good, it does have some wear and a little bit of verdi gris here and there but nothing too bad for its age. On the ends of the candle holder there are what appear to be dragons or possibly horned horses which really makes this little candlestick very appealing indeed.
A beautiful little country house piece that would make a great addition to any collection.
Dimensions approx. Length 18 cm 7 ins. Width 5 cm 2 ins. Height 8 cm 3 ins.
