French antique copper pan.
Here we have an absolutely fabulous antique copper pan.
This pan is not for cooking with it is for decoration only unless it is retinned.
It dates back to the nineteenth century and is lovely example of early French copperware.
The hand forged iron handle is held to the pan with three copper rivets.
The pan has a few dings here and there sustained over a long and useful life, but these just add to it‘s originality and character.
The iron handle has light tarnishing here and there.
You can see on the outside of the pan some discolouration and some silver marks, I think the silver is from where it has been retinned in the past
Needless to say this pans cooking days are over and it is just for decoration, but what a fabulous thing to hang in the kitchen full of charm character and history.
