Edwardian ladies hat. Antique ladies hat.
This lovely old hat dates back to the Edwardian period, around the 1910s.
It was made by the top London makers of "Tress and co".
The style is very much of the period and it has a bowler hat appearance but with a wider flatter rim.
Absolutely perfect for Downton Abbey re-enactment as it fits into the period perfectly.
The overall condition is good there is a very small indent on the top but this is very hard to notice. The elastic strap is coming away ever so slightly on one side, you can see this in the photos. There is a gros grain ribbon running around the side and an elastic chin strap is present.
A fabulous old hat that would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
