French antique jardinaire, antique planter, dates to the end of the 19th century. The planter is made using the repousse method where thin sheets of brass or silver are given their design by pushing the pattern through from the underside. The planter stands on four little feet, It still has its zinc liner in place.
Condition: Good used condition, still fit for original purpose. The jardinaire has signs of wear throughout with areas of tarnishing and a few very minor dings in places. As you can see in the photos there is rust to the base of the liner to the jardinaire and there are some very small pin prick holes around the base. The zinc liner is quite tight, it does come out but needs to be removed with care.
