French antique jardinaire. Antique planter.
Here we have a wonderful old antique in the form of a Metal planter which is formed in repousse work and has a real Chateau shabby chic feel about it.
The planter is made from thin brass which is formed in the repousse style so it is relatively light for it‘s size.
It stands on four little feet. It has its zinc liner in place.
The jardinaire has signs of wear throughout with areas of tarnishing and a few very minor dings here and there, as to be expected on an aged piece like this which has had a long and useful life. As you can see in the photos there is rust to the base of the liner and the jardinaire and also there are some very small pin prick holes here and there around the base. The zinc liner is quite tight, it does come out put needs to be removed with care.
A fabulous old jardinaire full of Shabby Chateau charm and character, an original and unique antique.
Dimensions approx. Length 26 cm 10 ins. Height 15 cm 6 ins. Width 15 cm 6 ins. Weight 690 g.
