Here we have a splendid example of a French antique copper pan lid.
This lid has some age to it and dates back to the nineteenth century.
The hand forged iron handle is riveted in place with three copper rivets, and the whole lid exudes rustic charm and character.
This is an old pan lid so there are a few age related marks here and there, which I have tried to show in the photos, but only the usual sort of blemishes that you would expect to see on a piece of antique copper ware off this age. There is some tarnishing present on the handle.
This lid would be best kept as a decorative piece rather than for cooking with as there is wear to the tin lining.
