Here we have a splendid vintage oil on canvas showing a tree in the foreground with a lady and child beneath and some soldiers leading horses in the background. I believe the painting to date to the early twentieth century judging by the ageing to the canvas. It is very well painted and certainly draws you in. You can see by the way that the artist has painted the horses that this was painted by a talented artist. You can really feel the movement of the lead horse.
The overall condition is good, it does have a few very small paint losses in places, I have tried to show this in the photos, you can see there is a small area of paint loss on the trunk of the tree. There is also crackling to the paint surface but only what you would expect to see on an aged painting like this. It is quite a large painting so please check the shipping cost carefully.
