Antique silver taperstick by Thomas Bradbury and sons London 1902 and a small taper chamber stick in continental silver. Here we have two wonderful antique pieces, quite rare and unusual. First we have a very elegant English silver taperstick in the eighteenth century style by Thomas Bradbury and sons of London which dates to 1902. This is a beautifully crafted piece and absolutely exudes quality. It has a full set of hallmarks on the edge of the base. The other piece is a small taperstick in the form of a chamberstick, this one we believe to be continental silver it has 800 stamped on the base. These pieces were primarily used to hold small wax tapers that were used to add the wax to the back of your letter before stamping it with your seal. A fabulous and very unusual pair of antique tapersticks that would make a great addition to any collection.
