French antique copper pans.
Here we have an absolutely charming couple of French antique copper pans.
They are both very early pans and date back to the nineteenth century. Both these pans show a lot of wear and have dings and dents from their long lives.
The hand forged iron handles are held to the pans with three copper rivets. One of the pans as you can see has been repaired in the past with a riveted plate. this will have been done many years ago in the days when these pans really had value to their owner. When the pan became very worn the owner would have it repaired probably by a travelling artisan who would travel from village to village repairing such items. This pan also has some initials stamped into the side "B J ". I believe this to be a very early pan, probably early nineteenth century. The other pan is slightly deeper, it has a few minor dings here and there and some tin around the outside at the top, but again a really early interesting pan. Real historical pieces with a story to tell.
We are selling these pans as decorative items to hang in the kitchen for display only.
These pans have real decorative appeal and character and would look stunning hanging in your kitchen creating that French country look.
