French antique black wooden crucifix, 30 cm high. Antique crucifix.

A lovely 19th century French black wooden crucifix with silver toned metal details. This napoleon III  ebonised crucifix was found here in rural Normandy and luckily still in one piece. Unfortunately due to the shape, construction and age, this is often not the case. This crucifix is full of character, it has been loved and used for many years and has an authentic charm that only comes from love and age.

Condition: This crucifix has a crack to the base and the little metal skull plaque to the base of the column is loose. There is general wear and rubbing all over. Although not perfect, the condition is reasonable for the age of this handsome piece.
