French antique 19th century book, quarter bound in a butterscotch coloured leather. On the spine in gold lettering is the title "En Flanant" The book is written in French and is I think a novel. It does have some nice marbling on the inside of the covers back and front in a nice blue colour. There is no printed date that I can see on the book but on the flyleaf someone has written in pencil edition 1899. One of the inside pages I have photographed has some lovely decoration in an Art Nouveau style so I would say that helps to date the book to around that period or possibly very slightly later than 1899 moving into the Edwardian period.
Condition: Good used condition with just the usual minor wear marks and scuffs in places.
