French antique brass country bowl.
Here we have a charming antique bowl in brass dating back to the 19th century.
It has a two handles which are each held in place with four rivets,a really sturdy piece.
It was probably originally used in the farmhouse kitchen for jam making but I think in later years has been used as a planter as it has quite a bit of heavy tarnishing in the base, you can see this in the photos.
The overall condition is good with just a few very minor dings here and there as you would expect on a aged piece like this.
A splendid decorative old bowl that would look wonderful as part of your kitchen decor and would work really well as a planter with perhaps dried flowers or herbs making a fabulous display.
Dimensions approx. Height 13 cm 5 ins. Diameter at top 30 cm 12 ins.
