French antique busts of Jesus and Mary. The Jesus bust has a date and ,I presume, maker on the side. The date is 1858 but I can not make out the name of the artist. There is quite a lot of French writing around the base back and front of the Jesus bust but this is quite hard to read there is also writing to the front of the Mary bust.
Condition: Fair used condition. As you can see these antiques have lived a life and there are some condition issues. There are various chips to both busts Jesus has been chipped on the point of his nose and Mary has quite a lot of chipping to the edge of her headpiece. Both bust have an unusual silvery grey painted colour to them so I am not sure if this is original or was painted over at a later date. There is quite a lot of rubbing and marking to both busts.
