French antique copper cooking pot with lid. French antique copperware lidded cooking pot. Here we have a super quality little cooking pot from the heart of Normandy. This is an antique piece of copperware dating back to the nineteenth century. You can see the dovetailing used in the construction of the pot down the sides and around the base. It is quite small in size and has a carrying handle and a tight fitting lid.                                         

Condition: The lid is slightly misshapen so it takes a little persuasion to get on and off. The tin lining is a little worn inside so this pot is best kept as a decorative item unless you have it retinned. There are a few wear marks and minor dings around the pot but only the usual signs of age and use that you would expect to see on a piece of copperware of this age. An unusual and very decorative piece of original French copperware that would make a fabulous addition to any collection.
