French antique bronze ormolu wall sconce with torchere glass shade. The shade is beautiful and is shaped and formed like a flame coming out from the sconce. This fabulous antique light probably dates back to the early twentieth century. The sconce is in solid bronze and is heavy with beautiful 18th century styled decoration with a lovely ribbon attachment which fixes to the wall. Quite a rare find.
Condition: The overall condition is good, we have cleaned the bronze but not polished it, so if desired you could polish it up to a high shine. The glass shade is in good order. The wiring is not working and would need to be replaced. It has a bayonet fitting in place for the bulb so the piece would need to be rewired and safety tested by a professional before use.
