French antique Jesus statue.
A truly wonderful example of an early twentieth century chalk ware figure of Jesus of the sacred heart.
It is a really well crafted hand painted piece dating to around the 1920s.
The statue depicts Jesus draped in a red robe pointing to the sacred heart.
The overall condition is good it does have paint losses here and there and a few chips to the chalk ware, there is a chip to the right sleeve. This does not detract from the splendour of this lovely old statue and just adds to it‘s authenticity and charm.
A lovely early French religious statue that has fabulous decorative appeal and would make a super addition to any home.
