French antique jewelry box. Here we have a really lovely little piece of French boudoir decor in the form of a cute little keeepsake or jewelry box. box. This lovely trinket box dates back to the early twentieth century or possibly late nineteenth. It has a pink silk lining, is made of metal  and stands on four ball feet with a thick bevelled glass lid.                                                                                 Condition: The overall condition is good for the age of this piece. The silk lining as you can see has faded and is starting to come away at the sides which is often the case with these old jewelry caskets. There is very light scratching to the glass lid probably from cleaning over the years but this is hardly noticeable. The original clasp is still present and works well.  The tiny ball feet are all original to the box.                                                          This would make a wonderful addition to your dressing table and look fabulous if you are trying to create that original French boudoir look, it would also be a good piece to add to  a collection.  Please check the dimensions carefully, this is a small box.
