French antique medical jar. An old pharmacy jar made from Paris porcelaine, a heavy old jar so is quite expensive to ship, please check the shipping costs before purchasing. This jar would have been kept in the pharmacy and used regularly, in fact you can see the wear on the finial on the lid, the gilt decoration has been worn away in time with the constant removal of the lid. The jar has nice gilt decoration and a sign to the front. The wording is "Cons Cynorrh" which we think is dried rosehip extract. We believe the jar to date to the end of the nineteenth century possibly the beginning of the twentieth.
Condition: Good used condition. You can see there are areas within the sign where the gilding has worn away but I think this just adds to the bottles originality and charm.
