French antique oil on board painting of a country scene showing a boat on a lake. Here we have a splendid oil on board showing a lakeside. There is a real quality feel to this painting. It is a beautifully painted picture. I believe this to be a very old painting probably at least early nineteenth century. There is something very special about this painting it has antique charm in abundance.
Condition: The painting has quite a lot of surface dirt as you can see in the photos and could do with a clean, it has probably been in the same country property for many years and with open fires you get a build up on the surface of oil paintings over time. I would recommend having it cleaned by a trained cleaner. There is one small surface scratch to the top area which I have shown in the photos, this may come out with a surface clean as well. I think this is a very special little painting and fabulous piece of original French wall art.
