French gilt bronze pediments. Small Bronze ormolu furniture mounts.
Here we have a lovely set of three classical French bronze pediments that would probably have originally been on antique furniture. I would think they date to the early twentieth century when there was a revival of the eighteenth century taste in furniture.
They are in the classical French Louis style. As you can see they are all very different. One of them has a classical rams head design at the top which is really splendid. The smaller piece has a slight lean on it at its base which I have tried to show in one of the photos and the other piece has some little areas of green verdi gris present which I have also tried to show in one of the photos.
They are small in size but full of French classical style and charm.
A fabulous set of highly decorative ormolu mounts that would make wonderful decorative additions to your home.
Ideal if you are creating that French boudoir look, real pieces of French antique architectural salvage.
