French hand painted vintage cockerel tray.

French rooster tray. Here we have a wonderful vintage tray with a superb hand painted scene with a cockerel in a wooded setting. The tray is a work of art in its own right, the painting is excellent, the artist has really captured the cockerel just right. the tray is made of very light wood, we believe it to date to mid twentieth century. A strikingly beautiful tray that would make a great addition to any collection. A real piece of French farmhouse decor.

Condition: The overall condition is good, you can see in the photos there are some rubbed areas and paint losses here and there as you would expect to see on a well used piece like this, but this just adds to its authenticity and charm. the back as you can see has scratches to the paint.
