A fine example of a French mid century pastel art work, a perfect original gift for a cat lover.
This charming little pastel picture shows two cats or kittens. The cat in the foreground is in a white and brown colour with striking green eyes and the little chap behind is brown with a very cute little face.
The artist has really captured these little kittens very well, and the picture is absolutely full of charm and very well drawn.
There is a signature towards the bottom on the right but it is quite hard to make out.
The picture is under glass so some of the photos have picked up reflections from the room.
The overall condition is very good there is just some very slight raising to the paper towards the top of the picture which I have pointed out in the photos but this is hardly noticeable. There is a very small light crack to the glass just to the left of the white kittens ear, but again this is very small and hard to see.
This really is a striking picture and would certainly enhance any interior what ever the decor. This picture is unique, original and depicts such a fabulous charming subject, kittens.
If you love cats or kittens, or are adding to a collection of French art, or starting a new one, this lovely painting is a superb example of it‘s type and would enhance any collection. It is also going to be a real talking point because these cats are so well done.
