French Benetier , vintage holy water font. Green velvet Benetier.
One of the nicest examples we have found of a Benetier or holy water font.
This lovely antique crucifix is covered in a lush green velvet, which has stood the test of time very well and retained its colour nicely, without too much fading. I would say the colour is quite a yellowy green.
The overall condition is good with just a few minor nibbles here and there, which is usual for these vintage items. the font at the bottom is slightly loose which is often the case with these antique Benetiers, but it does not affect the piece in any way.
There is a small ring attached on the back for hanging purposes.
A fabulous old Benetier that really stands out with its vibrant colouring.
