Here we have a lovely old oil on board of a pair of dogs.
The painting we believe to date to the mid twentieth century so it is vintage rather than antique.
The dogs are really well painted it looks like one is a little pug sort and the other perhaps a spaniel.
The overall condition is good, there is some crackling to the paint and what looks like a few tiny white paint spots here and there which could have been from careless decorating, but basically it is in good order. The frame I think is newer but it suits the painting quite well.
The one thing this old painting has in abundance is charm and character. You can imagine it hanging on the wall for many years evoking fond memories of a beloved friends.
A lovely vintage oil painting that would enhance any home decor and would make a perfect addition to any collection.
