French antique binoculars. Antique field glasses.
Here we have a wonderful old pair of French binoculars.
We believe them to date to the early twentieth century so they may well have been used in the first world war.
There is leather applied to the main metal body. These are a Paris made pair of binoculars and the makers name is on the inside of the eye pieces "A. Tubeuf Paris."
They work very well, the mechanism for raising them is a little sticky, but nothing too bad, the clarity through the lenses is very good.
These binoculars come with their original leather case which has weathered very nicely over the years and has developed a lovely rich patina.
A fabulous and interesting pair of binoculars.
