Here we have an absolutely fabulous antique oil painting showing a country scene.
The overall condition is good there are some minor paint losses here and there and some crackling to the paint as to be expected but for its age it is in very good condition. It has clearly been painted by a very talented artist and they have really been able to capture the scene very well indeed. There is a real moodiness to the painting with the darkened menacing sky. The turquoise green colour of the water is fabulous and really adds to the beauty of the picture.
I would say that this painting is nineteenth century judging by the ageing to the canvas.
Sympathetically reframed this would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
A really unique and beautiful painting that would enhance any home decor creating a wonderful focal point in any room.
