French antique Art Nouveau dogs head walking cane.
Here we have a splendid greyhound head walking stick dating back to the Art Nouveau period.
As you can see the handle has been shaped into an elegant greyhound head and there are Art Nouveau decorative touches flowing down to stick.
the overall condition is good, but there is some rubbing to the chromed head showing the metal beneath. This would have been a very well used cane and the wear that you see is to be expected on such and aged piece dating to around 1900 1910.
A fabulous walking stick ideal for the collector and ideal for a dog lover like myself. Also of course ideal for adding to a period costume if you are a costumer.
