French antique bronze sconces. Pair of French bronze Louis XV style wall appliques.
A lovely decorative pair of French bronze wall sconces.
These sconces are formed in the eighteenth century style and have lovely decoration throughout. we believe they probably date to the early twentieth century when there was a revival in the eighteenth century style.
They are heavy quality pieces weighing nearly three kilos the pair.
The overall condition is good for their age, we have just given them a clean and not attempted to polish them up, there are a couple of small areas of verdi gris here and there but nothing too bad and there is a slight looseness on the joints but again nothing too bad.
A fabulous pair that would add a touch of grace and elegance to any interior and give a true feel of the French chateau to your home.
