French vintage country stoneware jug. Country pitcher hand crafted in Normandy, France..
Here we have a charming country jug from the heart of the Normandy countryside.
The jug has been hand thrown and is formed in a tapered shape so is ideal for holding taller floral displays. This jug has a handle to the side and a small pouring lip.
The overall condition is good, there is a stain on the inside of the jug which I have tried to show on one of the photos, but I think this could be a mark from the firing process as it does not move with scrubbing. A lovely old rustic French pot, great for storing wooden spoons or utensils, also dried herbs or flowers to make a lovely decorative feature.
