French vintage religious oil painting of The Madonna.

Framed mid century original painting depicting The Virgin Mary. There is some writing at the base of the painting "H ANDOLFI A JANINE L'communion Percy 17-V1-1945." Percy is a town here in Normandy, Andolfi is the artist. There is an air of sad tranquility about this painting, the colors are muted tones of blues and golds the painting is simple and honest, yet captivating. I have seen many similar larger paintings like this in churches here in Normandy. A heartfelt piece of European art. If you are adding to an art collection or perhaps starting a new one, this painting is a superb choice.

Condition: The overall condition of the painting is good. There are a few very tiny paint spots here and there probably from house decorating but the overall condition of the canvas is good for its age.
