Antique mortar and pestle. Antique bronze mortar and pestle.
Here we have a fabulous and very old antique. This lovely old pestle and mortar we believe to date to the 17th century and to be of Spanish or Portugese origin.
It is in solid bronze and is heavy for its small size.
There are what look like heraldic emblems around the sides.
The overall condition is good it does have a small ding on the rim which I have tried to show in the photos and a couple of very tiny nibbles to the rim, but only wear that you would expect to see on a aged piece like this.
A fabulous old antique piece ideal for adding to your collection.
