Here we have a lovely little antique in the form of a wooden antique pocket watch box.
This would have been used to place your pocket watch in of an evening to keep it out of harms way.
There is a little removable tray inside which the watch would have sat in.
The bevelled glazed lid is hinged and comes down to protect your watch and enables you to be able to look in and still see the time.
The ebonised wooden box has lovely brass stringing decoration, a real touch of quality.
The overall condition is good, it looks like there would have been some material on the base of the box on the inside, you can see in the photos the inside is showing the wood and has what looks like some writing in pencil on the base.
A fabulous old pocket watch box that would be ideal for any pocket watch enthusiast.
