French Antique Pocket Watch Box, Napoleon III Era, Hunting Scene Decor

French antique pocket watch box.
Here we have a lovely little antique in the form of an antique pocket watch box dating back to the Napoleon 111 period.
There are some condition issues with this box, it is missing the little latch at the front where it would lock closed and also there is a small bit of shock damage to the glass in the top left hand corner. I have tried to show these issues in the photos and I have priced the box accordingly.
The box has hunting scene decoration around the sides and a pink silk interior.
This would have been used to place your pocket watch in of an evening to keep it out of harms way.
The glazed lid is hinged and comes down to protect your watch and enables you to be able to look in and still see the time.
It does have faults but still retains its antique splendour and is a unique and very interesting item to add to any collection.
A fabulous old pocket watch box that would be ideal for any pocket watch enthusiast.
