French Art Deco jardinaire. Antique planter. Art Deco planter.
Here we have a wonderful old Art Deco planter.
This beautiful old planter is in the Art Deco style and has typical Art Deco decoration with very geometric patterns throughout. I say planter but this charming little piece could be used for anything you wanted really, for little displays or even for serving nuts in if you so desired.
It is made of spelter and has a blue glass liner. Remarkably the whole piece is intact which is quite unusual as spelter and glass are such fragile materials.
The blue liner is fixed in place. There are a couple of screw on brackets underneath which could be removed if you wanted to take the glass out but I think it would be best to keep the glass securely in place.
A fabulous old Art Deco planter that would make a wonderful decorative feature in any home, a truly wonderful and unique French antique jardinaire.
